Product Description of 3A Molecular Sieve Desiccant
Zeolites are a class of crystalline aluminosilicates. The most basic structure of zeolite is composed of (SiO4) tetrahedron and (AlO4) tetrahedron. Adjacent tetrahedra are connected by oxygen bridges to form rings, which can vary in size. Depending on the number of oxygen atoms forming the ring, there are four oxygen rings, five oxygen rings, six oxygen rings, eight oxygen rings, ten oxygen rings and twelve two-membered oxygen rings. The ring is the channel orifice of the molecular sieve, through which the molecular sieve is sieved. Oxygen rings are connected by oxygen bridges to form polyhedra with three-dimensional space. The polyhedron has hollow cages, which is an important feature of molecular sieve structures. The cavities contain crystal water and cations that neutralize the negative charge of the tetrahedron (AlO4). Part or all of the crystal water can be removed relatively easily by heating or reducing pressure.
